What is The Kinesio Taping Method®?

The Kinesio Taping Method® is a definitive rehabilitative taping technique that is designed to facilitate the body’s natural healing process while providing support and stability to muscles and joints without restricting the body’s range of motion as well as providing extended soft tissue manipulation to prolong the benefits of manual therapy administered within the clinical setting.


Kinesio Taping Classes

CKTT Level 1: Basic Training

Cost: $65.00

Who is the class for?

Everyone 14 and older.

Are there prerequisites or requirements?

Registrants must be over the age of 14.

Course Overview

During this 2 hour workshop, you will be introduced to 5 simple applications (e.g. low back, shoulder, knee, foot, and ankle) as well as contraindications for the use of Kinesio® Tape Pre-cuts.

Level 1 Course Objectives:

Participants successfully completing this course will:

1. Be familiar with the history and theory of Kinesio® Tape.

2. Be comfortable handling Kinesio® Tape

3. Know what “not to do” with Kinesio® Tape

4. Know when to consult a physician before applying Kinesio® Tape

5. Be able to properly apply precut applications learned in class

6. Know how to safely remove Kinesio® Tape


CKTT Level 2: Advanced Training - 4CEU

Cost: $130.00

Who is the class for?

Personal trainers, strength and conditioning coaches, and fitness professionals.

Are there prerequisites?

Registrants must complete CKTT workshop Level 1.

Course Overview

During this 4 hour workshop, you will build on the applications learned from Level 1 and will be introduced to techniques for common sports injuries such as Achilles tendonitis, hamstring strain, groin strain, ankle sprain, calf strain/tear, IT band strain, hip flexor strain, and shin splint applications.

Applications for shoulder support and posture enhancement will also be addressed. After completion of Level 2, you are eligible to take the Certified Kinesio Taping Technician™ (CKTT) exam and, upon receiving a successful passing score (80% or higher) and maintenance of annual KTAI membership you may market yourself as a CKTT.  The cost of the exam is covered in the price of the class.

3. Know what “not to do” with Kinesio® Tape

5. Be familiar with general anatomy of the body areas addressed

6. Know the cause and symptoms of each condition taught

7. Be able to properly apply applications learned in the workshop

8. Know how to safely remove Kinesio® Tape

9. Take and pass an exam over material covered in Level 1 and Level 2 workshops
